When I set out to create Flavcacol,  I did so because I wanted a fun place to create and write movie reviews for all to enjoy, I accomplished that. Along with a great place to create, I dedicated the blog to someone who was once important to me, that dedication was neither acknowledged or appreciated I’ve accepted that, will  allow Karma to take control of that situation and moved on. Over the years, as movies flailed and my creativity wained I did my best to hold Flavacol down and bring you the most honest and comical reviews on the web, eh things  didn’t always go as planned but Flavacol stuck around. Now with a new schedule, school, work, gym, etc. I find that my time for Flavacol is limited so I will be shutting Flavacol down for the time being. As far as I am concerned, movies have lost my interest for the time being and so I don’t want to make my readers suffer. My words to my readers: No matter how people treat you, (and some will treat you like shit) love others, be respectful and be yoursef, if you find you get no respect, move on…they will learn. Make others laugh and a good life is sure to follow.  Lastly, smart people know that they will never know how kind words will affect another person and  what ambitions they can assist them in filling. I try and remember this always.

I thank you for your loyalty and for assisting me in fullfilling my dream…writing Flavacol for all of you. Who knows, maybe I’ll be back when the movies get better..

It has been hard as hell to keep up a movie review blog with the strikes Hollywood has thrown over the past few years. I could write a million entries about the lacklusters that have reared their ugly little heads of late. Excited? Good, cuz I found some more…and while I have had countless conversations about the reasons why the Vision has died in tinseltown, I still don’t know exactly why. And so before my interest weans, I need to refresh…okay maybe not as fresh as we’d all like but some kind of dingy, dusty musty spritz of bad citrus..lol. And on that bright note, here are some blockbusters in bloom…here’s to addictions! Whats with the Chris Brown look-a-like Rihanna? See “confessions” in the damn music..okay. Have yourself a wack movie winter!

Underworld Awakening – Release Date: (Jan – 20) – This sequel looks tired. How many times can you possibly fight the same damn war? Oh yea and another thing…Hollywood needs to come up with something other than vampires and devils…enough already!

RedTails -Release Date:(Jan 20) – Okay with all the Lucas drama sorrounding this one..(.I hear there is still some racism out there in good ol’ Hollywood)..it may just get some attention. Oh right…got it George!

Chronicle-Release Date: (Feb 3) – This one reminds me of the flick with the cute warlocks..ahh I can’t remember the name..minus the cuties. Although this is one for the teens, I just might check out the special effects.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengance: Release Date (Feb 17) – Oh Nicholas Cage please quit! Admist the sorrounding rumors of Cage’s bank account costing along on fumes, this flick is just about as dated as Nicholas’ wig.

Wrath of the Titans - Release Date (March 30) – A March release date dampens my spirits for this one. I was a little amped at the trailer, given the music, but again, if there is anything I have learned over the years its that the release date speaks volumes about a flicks budget. Don’t blow it all on the trailer now!

Scary Movie 5 – Release Date: (April 20) – Yet another sequel. Is it just me or the Wayans Bros just aren’t funny anymore. I’m just like you with this one, believing that it could go either way…but at this point from this view it needs fresh life.

Archer and friend’s decide to head out for a night on the town. After about an hour of traveling, they wind up in a lovely little lounge in lower Manhattan. Archer settles in, orders a drink and tries to get a vibe from the place…after a little while the place gets crowded (and therefore Archer scopes the room for handsome men..oh I don’t play..lol) finding a few, she sits back, chats with her friends and enjoys the music. Satisfied with her sorroundings, she begins to move a little to the music..little did she know a  50 year old black man in a tight green turtleneck and a nappy flattop was watching from her entrance on..(we’ll call him Arnold) ..the next events were undoubtedly retarded..but then again isn’t that why your here..lol..read on!

Arnold: So, what will it take to get you up and grinding with me?

Archer: Um, thanks but no thanks, I’m just here hanging with friends (looks around for the younger more attractive men, hoping they will approach) thanks though!

Arnold: Come on now, I overheard you talking to your girls, you need a man, you want a man..so here I am.

Archer: I didn’t say any of those things, what I said was “who’s in here tonight?” Dude, you heard wrong.

Arnold: See (get’s angry) this is why I hate conversing with young bitches..your too young to understand the definition of a real man..

Archer: See ya (begins to get up and leave)

Arnold: Oh now so you mad and you don’t wanna dance?

Archer: I didn’t wanna dance from the beginning…bye. Wtf is going on in here tonight?

Arnold leaves disappointed and angry into the crowd..an hour later Archer is dancing with a guy she met at the bar when all of a sudden she feels the bump of a strong ass and back against her. As she moves away shocked, she turns to see Arnold, vigorously dancing with a 70 year old woman and bumping up behind her. As she turns towards him to watch, he dances around in a circle and gives her a middle finger…

Arnold: Told ya bitch!

Whoo!…

Anyway, to new beginnings in 2012. This entry is dedicated to any and everyone else who tried to play me in the past. I hear you, I hear you..peace!

Ready for the New Year? New beginnings, new endings..lots of hope for a fresh start! Well I’ll be front and center at the fire works crossing my fingers in hopes that Hollywood doesn’t screw us this coming summer. And while its great to reminisce on days gone by, the future is looking extra bright these days.
